So, it was natural that when a customer was looking for a way to reduce energy and sound losses on their latest generation of compressors – Enbi would be the natural choice.
Compressors are used to compress and convey gases and refrigerants in refrigerators, air conditioners and heat pumps. The compressors are the main driver of noise emission in the heat pumps which are in use 24 hours a day, and unless they are isolated correctly they can be source of irritating noise especially when located in densely built-up area.
Enbi’s Engineers worked closely with the customer to develop a unique solution using EnbiComfort. The solution envelops the compressor using multi-layer jacket made of acoustically highly effective PET fleece, coupled with an additional damping layer and a hard wearing but attractive covering material. The jacket is compact, space-saving and very easy to install when piped and in tests reduced the noise emissions by more than 85%.
